Nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes of the French Alps lies a haven for ski enthusiasts and nature lovers alike – Club Med La Rosière. Tucked away in the serene commune of Montvalezan, this hidden gem offers an unforgettable escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I was very fortunate to be selected to visit and see all that the company and resort had to offer. I was not disappointed.

Day 1: Arrival at Club Med La Rosière

My flights were booked directly with Club Med who looked after all my requirements and made the transatlantic flight feel effortless. At the airport their transfer team was waiting to whisk us up to the resort. As I arrived at Club Med La Rosière, I was immediately struck by the stunning panoramic views of the snow-capped peaks that surrounded the resort. The warm hospitality of the staff welcomed me, setting the tone for a truly unforgettable experience. I stayed in a Deluxe Room which could easily sleep 3 comfortably. The view from my balcony was an unbridled vista of the snow-covered mountains.

Day 2: Skiing Adventures

The highlight of my trip was, without a doubt, the exhilarating skiing adventures that awaited me. With access to over 160 kilometers of pristine slopes, there was no shortage of excitement for snow enthusiasts of all levels. You can even ski into Italy for pizza. Whether carving through fresh powder or gliding down gentle slopes, every moment on the mountain felt like a dream. Having skied for many years I have done every ski trip possible. One of the highlights for me was walking down to my own personal ski locker where my preordered ski equipment was waiting. Click click and I was on the mountain ready to ski. Club Med includes ski and snowboarding lessons for all in their packages and I made the most of the expert knowledge that Ecole Ski France had to offer.

The resort's heated indoor pool and jacuzzi provided the perfect oasis for relaxation, offering breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains.

The resort's talented chefs expertly crafted each dish using locally sourced ingredients, resulting in a culinary journey that delighted the palate and nourished the soul. Whether savoring a decadent dessert or enjoying a glass of fine wine by the fireplace, every meal was a celebration of exquisite flavors and culinary craftsmanship. Cheese fondue in the a la carte restaurant was a definite highlight.

Day 6: Fond Farewells

As I bid farewell to Club Med La Rosière, I couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the unforgettable memories and experiences that I had gathered during my stay. From thrilling ski adventures to moments of quiet reflection amidst nature's beauty, every moment spent in this alpine paradise left an indelible mark on my heart. As I embarked on my journey back home, I carried with me not only cherished memories but also a restored appreciation for the magic of the mountains.

Whilst most of my time was spent at La Rosiere I also got the chance to visit Club Med Val D'Isere and Club Med Tignes. These are just a handful of over 20 resorts within Europe where you can ski as well as visit in the summer months. I can only imagine how breathtaking the views must be in the summer.

In conclusion, Club Med La Rosière is more than just a destination – it is a sanctuary for the soul, where adventure and relaxation converge amidst the majestic beauty of the French Alps. Whether seeking thrills on the slopes or moments of tranquility in nature's embrace, this hidden gem offers an unparalleled escape from the ordinary, inviting travelers to discover the true essence of alpine bliss. Club Med thinks of everything to ensure your precious time is not wasted on the mundane.

Why travel to Europe to ski when we have the Rockies on our doorstep I hear you say. Club Med is one of the only All Inclusive providers in the mountains and they certainly deliver and do not disappoint!
